a b o u t m e !

Hi, I’m Nat!

I started painting at 23, when an ankle injury had me stuck inside for 3 weeks. I started with mountains, decided I really hated painting grass, then eventually developed a love for painting birds. On the second to last day at my old job, I decided last minute to try and paint all my closest friends’ state birds. That’s me, halfway through! The Northern Flicker I’m painting in the picture is the same print from my website, originally for my friend Abigail.

The recycled notebooks were a passion my mom helped me develop, since she has her own esty store full of her own hand-bound recycled notebooks. Check her out here:

Working at a food co-op, I’m lucky enough to have lots of free bulk bags and lots of excess paper packaging at my disposal. I love seeing them go into little journals instead of the garbage can.

Thanks for supporting my work 🙂
